GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. -- A man was arrested Saturday after deputies received a tip of domestic violence in the Hickory area.

Officials with the Graves County Sheriff's Office went to the area at 10:30 p.m. Saturday looking for Ronald Coleman. Coleman faced previous charges from Kentucky State Police for avoiding arrest in March of 2023.

Graves County deputies arrived at the scene to find Coleman had run away. Officials spoke to a victim and believe Coleman choked him or her.

More Graves County deputies arrived to help with the search along with members of the McCracken County Sheriff's Office. Local Emergency Management also received notification.

Deputies searched alongside a K-9 officer and a drone before finally finding and arresting Coleman.

Coleman received the following charges:

  • Parole Violation Warrant (from Marshall County)
  • Assault, 4th degree (Domestic Violence) with minor injury
  • Strangulation, 1st degree

Officials sent Coleman to the Marshall County Jail.Â
