Drug arrest

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. -- Officials arrested two men on Tuesday after months of a ten-pound Methamphetamine investigation from a number of Kentucky legal agencies.

Jackson Mugshot

Officials with the investigation believed early suspect Antonio D. Jackson, 37, of Links Lane in Mayfield, was the source of high drug trafficking of crystal Methamphetamine in Mayfield, Graves County and other counties in Western Kentucky. Jackson supposedly received the drugs at his home and sold them off in smaller amounts. Undercover deputies investigated and supposedly confirmed these suspicions.

Deputies say they found more than ten pounds of Meth in undercover investigations on Jackson prior to Tuesday's arrest. Officials plan to use the uncovered substances as evidence in Jackson's trial.

Drug stop

On Tuesday, deputies from the Graves and McCracken County Sheriff's Offices teamed up to execute arrest warrants on Jackson. Around 11:20 a.m., officials stopped Jackson at KY Hwy 303 and KY 80. Deputies set up road blockages and managed to arrest Jackson.

During the arrest process, officials reported a 1/4 pound of Meth on Jackson's person and money in the car. The suspect's home was also searched, which yielded more drug trafficking evidence.

Daniels mugshot

Following Jackson's arrest, officials continued to the residence of another suspect, Ivy S. Daniels, 38. The search of Daniels' home on the 400 block of Chris Drive off KY Hwy 303 found more US money assumedly connected to drug trafficking. Officials arrested Daniels on an outstanding warrant for Trafficking.

Ivy and Jackson each have criminal records relating to Trafficking and drug possession.

Officials sent the pair to out-of-county detention centers who will face trial at the United States Attorney's Office in Paducah. The suspects' current charges are as follows:

  • Antonio Jackson
    • Felony, Fleeing or Evading Police
    • Trafficking in Crystal Meth over 10 pounds
  • Ivy Daniels
    • Trafficking in a 1st Degree Controlled Substance (Meth), 2nd or subsequent offense
    • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Officials with the McCracken, Graves, Ballard, Carlisle, and Calloway County Sheriff's Offices; Paducah, Mayfield and Murray police departments; the Paducah office of the US Drug Enforcement Administration; as well as the US Postal Inspector all provided help in this ongoing investigation.
