CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The McLeod Summer Playhouse held its annual Singing with the Stars on Friday night.Â

Matthew Wilson was voted as Entertainer of the Year at the event. Wilson graduated from SIU Carbondale as a graduate in social work. Wilson sang a cover of Always & Forever.Â
Community members attended the event and were treated to hors d'oeuvres and desserts with an open bar. Attendees were then able to vote for the winner via $1 tickets.Â
"Thanks to all who attended in support of MSP and huge thanks to all the Friends of MSP community member volunteers who make this event work every year!" wrote the McLeod on Facebook.Â

This marked the first event for the Playhouse's summer. Throughout the next two months the theater will present three musicals for all ages.Â
