National Weather Service to survey damages of at least six tornado paths

PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) -- Survey teams will visit at least six tornado damaged paths across the region from the May 16 storms which hit our region.

On Saturday, the National Weather Service will send teams to southern Illinois for one path and southeast Missouri to survey three paths.

In Illinois, a damage survey plan shows a line starting in Williamson County, south of Marion, and stretches into Henderson County in northwestern Kentucky.

In Missouri, a damage survey plan shows a path just west of Jackson in Cape Girardeau County, a path in the northern portion of Scott County, and a path which starts in Stoddard County and stretches into the southern portion of Scott County.

On Sunday or Monday, a survey team will visit two paths in Kentucky. One of the paths is in the southeast portion of Lyon County, while the other path stretches from Christian County, through Todd County and into Logan County.
