At 638 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Royalton, or 7 miles southwest of Christopher, moving east at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Herrin, Christopher, Zeigler, De Soto, Royalton, Elkville, Hurst,
North City, Dowell, Freeman Spur, Bush, and Colp.

Police ask for help in missing vehicle investigation

SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Police hope residents can help in an ongoing missing vehicle investigation. 

The Scott City Police Department took to Instagram to ask for information on the alleged stolen vehicle. The missing side by side belongs to a home in the 2500 block of Roth Drive. According to police, the assumed-theft occurred Wednesday night into Thursday morning. 

The gray and black side by side is a 2020 Polaris 567 CC model. 

Those who may know anything related to the vehicle should call police at 573-264-2121. Police ask those who see the Polaris to avoid it and call officials first.
