SESSER, Ill. -- The Sesser Public Library has planned an event to celebrate library card sign-ups.

The library will hold Sign-Up Day on September 18 starting at 10:00 a.m. Lasting until 5:00 p.m., residents who complete the necessary steps to receive a card for the library system will receive free cookies and beverages.

Cards are free for Sesser residents and $15 for those outside of the city limits.

The library hopes the day will give new patrons a chance to "explore all the wonderful resources our library has to offer." These offerings include physical books, audio books, online e-books and more.
