ULLIN, Ill. -- Students at Shawnee Community College participated in training with the ARCH Air Medical Service.Â
The provides air-evacuation services to medical patients who need immediate help in an out-of-area hospital.Â
Members from ARCH's Carbondale Base taught nursing and EMT students about Landing Zones. These spots help those flying medical helicopters to find safe spaces to land when transporting patients.Â
First responders from the area participated in the event, too.Â
