Shawnee Community College hosts CTE Day

ULLIN, Ill. -- Shawnee Community College hosted its annual CTE Day event for hundreds of high school students on Thursday.

The event recognizes National CTE Month and gives students the chance to learn more about agriculture, cosmetology, allied health & nursing, and welding programs offered at the school. Faculty, staff and students from SCC led hands-on activities throughout the day. 

About 600 students from 10 area high schools showed up to the college's main campus for the event.
