SIU Softball clinches MVC regular season title for second year in a row

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WSIL) � The Saluki Softball team defeated Evansville and claimed the Missouri Valley Conference regular season title on Sunday.

SIU (31-19, 21-5) won the game on May 4, defeating Evansville 11-1.

This is the second year in a row the SIU softball team won the regular season title.

They will go into the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament as a number one seed and will play on May 8th at 10 a.m. in Des Moines, Iowa.
