Three hospitalized in Memorial Day Weekend crashes

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. -- Car wrecks in McCracken County sent at least three to hospitals over the Memorial Day Weekend. 

Officials with the McCracken County Sheriff's Office released details on Tuesday of these crashes in the region. 

The first crash occurred on Saturday, May 25, around 6:39 a.m. According to deputies, two cars crashed at the intersection of US Hwy 45, or Lone Oak Road, and N. Friendship Road. 

Deputies involved with the investigation say Destiney Redden, 29, of Murray, drove a 2020 GMC Terrain south on N. Friendship Road at the same time Latachia Agan, 38, of Paducah, drove a 2020 Hyundai Elantra south on Hwy 45. The two drivers collided in the intersection. 

Redden went to the hospital, but both cars' airbags were set off at the site. 

Later that morning, another crash occurred. Officials say this wreck happened at the .4 mile marker on I-24 heading east. Investigators found Donald Redman of Brookwood, Alabama, driving a 2008 Triumph motorcycle.  Redman reportedly drove off the road when a piece of his luggage spilled off the truck. The suitcase collided with Lewis' car. 

Redman was sent to local hospitals before transferring to a medical center out of Missouri. 

Finally, the office also revealed a crash on Blandville Road around 12:45 p.m., Massac officials informed residents of a crash on Blandville and Massac Church Roads. Evan Dulworth, from La Center, walked south on Massac Church Road before stepping into the road and stopping traffic. Officials believe he ditched the motorcycle he was riding in a nearby yard. 

Officials brought Officials brought Dulsowrth into custody on Friday.
