Western Kentucky officials help arrest wanted man

HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. -- The Calloway County Sheriff's Office assisted in the arrest of a wanted man Friday in Tennessee. 

Calloway County authorities joined the Henry County Sheriff's Office in the search for Richard Sager after Henry County authorities received word of Sager's location.

According to information from the Henry County Sheriff's Office, Sager was wanted on an active arrest warrant for the Criminal Attempt to Commit 2nd Degree Murder. Sager was seen around Cypress and Otts Roads on Friday, Aug. 30. 

Authorities arrived on the scene and found Sager's car.  Investigators believed the suspect ran on foot from before authorities arrived. 

Henry County officials connected with the Calloway County Sheriff's Office to broaden the search. The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP), the THP Aviation Unit, Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, the TN State Park Rangers and EMA also joined the investigation. The groups formed a perimeter to contain Sager. 

The search continued for four hours, after which Sager was arrested.
