WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. -- A man was arrested on Saturday after reportedly pulling a gun on his coworkers.

Ronald L. Bellamy was arrested by the Williamson County Sheriff's Office in Marion after police said he fled the area after a reported incident took place.

Deputies were alerted of the incident via phone call. The situation occurred at 10900 Redco Drive in Marion, the address for Aisin Light Metals. The sheriff's office said Bellamy was fleeing the scene after they got the report of someone threatening workers with a gun at the time of the deputies' arrival.

Deputies stopped Bellamy's car near the business. "I don't have no gun on me," Bellamy told the deputies.

A search of Bellamy's vehicle revealed a Black and Silver Taurus 9mm handgun along with two magazines for the gun and eight rounds of ammunition.

Bellamy received the following charges upon his arrest:

  • Aggravated, unlawful use of a weapon
  • Aggravated assault, two counts

Deputies sent Bellamy to the Williamson County Jail.Â
