WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. -- Officials arrested a man on Friday months after receiving a tip for his sexual crimes.Â
Investigators first learned of allegations against John M. Dodd on January 24. Tips said Dodd had committed criminal sexual assault. Officials spent the following months collecting evidence of these crimes.Â
On Friday, April 26, enough evidence came together to obtain an arrest warrant for Dodd. Deputies with the Williamson County State's Attorney's Office wrote up the warrant on charges of Criminal Sexual Assault and Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse.Â
Deputies executed the warrant and arrested Dodd on Tuesday. They brought him to the Williamson County Jail.Â
The Williamson County State's Attorney Ted Hampson and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services aided the Williamson County Sheriff's Office in the investigation.Â
