Traffic crash south of Benton; motorists urged to take alternate route

BENTON, Ill. (WSIL) � Officials are informing the public to take another route after a traffic crash in Franklin County.

The Franklin County Emergency Management Agency informed the public at 11:33 a.m. on May 11, of a crash near State Highway 37 and Minier Road, just south of Benton.

County officials are urging motorists to avoid the area and take an alternative route around the crash site as first responders work the scene.
