Two injured in two-vehicle crash in southeast Missouri

MALDEN, Mo. (WSIL) -- Two people were injured after a two-vehicle crash in southeast Missouri on Saturday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said the crash happened at 10:35 a.m. on February 1, along Highway 25 in Malden.

State police said a 74-year-old from Malden was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado going north when it hit the rear of a 2008 Dodge Caliber, driven by a 49-year-old from Hayti.

The 49-year-old was taken by ambulance to Mercy of Stoddard County with minor injuries.

The 74-year-old was flown out to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis with serious injuries.
