Warm and mild Thanksgiving, colder weather to follow

WSIL(Carterville, IL)-- This afternoon, we are tracking highs today across southern Illinois that are in the low to mid 40s. However, across southeastern Missouri, we are tracking highs that are in the low to mid 50s across southeastern Missouri due to more clouds clearing. For the rest of the evening, we are tacking temperatures that will fall into the low 40s and upper 30s by the dinnertime hour, and by late evening, temperatures will likely be in the mid 30s. Winds will also be light this evening with winds up to 5 to 7 miles per hour out of the southwest. 

During the evening, we are tracking skies that will be clearing that will be clearing, and should be mostly clear by midnight, and the entire region should be mostly sunny to start the morning.

Thanksgiving forecast

Temperature wise, we will start Thanksgiving with a low temperature in the low 30s. A few spots could make it into the upper 20s where the clouds clear first. Temperatures will rebound quickly, and make it into the mid 50s by lunchtime and into the upper 50s by 3 or 4 o'clock. Skies tomorrow will be mostly sunny. 

Shopping forecast

Temperatures will cool for the weekend, with highs on Friday and Saturday in the mid 40s to upper 40s, and low 40s for Sunday and Monday. We will be remaining dry through the holiday, but we are tracking isolated precipitation chances for Saturday and Sunday.Â
