TREMPEALEAU COUNTY, WI (WQOW) - A hunter from Independence, Wisconsin is racking up some hero points after freeing two bucks found stuck together.
It is certainly a sight you don't see everyday. Trempealeau County resident Troy Rebarchek and his wife, Tami Keenan, were alerted by a neighbor that the two bucks were hooked, antlers to antlers, in their field.Â
The deer were spotted late last month. On that same day, December 20, Rebarchek turned from hunter to hero, taking a saw to their antlers in hopes of freeing the two.
His wife, Tami, captured the moment on camera.
Although Rebarchek could've bagged two bucks easy, he said freeing them was the right thing to do, and that the memories of this good deed will last a lifetime.
Rebarchek posted the video to Tiktok, racking up a million views, more than half a million likes and tens of thousands of shares.Â
