GRAVES CO., Ky. (WSIL) -- Our Storm Track 3 Weather Team was tracking a line of thunderstorms that brought damaging winds to parts of the area on Sunday.
"Last night, we had several trees down in the south part of the county. Water Valley Fire Department and Wingo Fire Department was out to several calls," said Graves County Emergency Management Director Tracy Warner.
Wingo Volunteer Fire Chief Sherri Jones said Sunday's storms lead to numerous reports of downed trees.
"From the Parkway we had trees down with power lines on Highway 45 in downtown Wingo."
Warner said the wind damage cut power to hundreds across her county that evening.
"Approximately probably 7 o'clock last night, we had around 800 people without power. About three o'clock this morning, everybody's power has been restored in the county."
Most of the reports in Graves County were wind related.
"We had a lot of wind damage. There was no flooding that was reported, no structural damage that I was made aware of," said Jones.
Warner said Wingo briefly lost the use of one tornado siren.
"We did have our tornado siren in Wingo area, by the the Wingo Elementary School, had gotten damaged from a tree that had taken the powerline down. West Kentucky Telephone was out there, and they actually repaired it, and we tested it this morning, and it is back working."
Officials tell News 3 that many western Kentucky communities had numerous reports of similar wind damage.
