Girl sells earrings, donates money to animal shelter

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (WSIL) -- A young girl took her love for animals a step further by donating her earnings after she sold some earrings she personally crafted.

Southeast Missouri Pets in Cape Girardeau received a visit from Kate recently. When Kate arrived at the shelter, she was wearing a "cat mom" shirt and handed workers the cash she earned from her latest business.

According to their Facebook post, SEMO Pets stated Kate made earrings to sell at a craft fair with a goal of raising money for the shelter.

Kate also donated some items for her furry friends there.

SEMO Pets thanks Kate for her support and said she has a big heart.

This isn't the first time Kate visited the shelter as she adopted her kitty named Oscar from there in June of last year.
