* WHAT...Heat index values up to 108 expected.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning
or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and
heat stroke.

CARBONDALE (WSIL) -- Class 2A Regional Quarterfinal from Itchy Jones Stadium on the SIU campus, Anna-Jonesboro outlasts Hamilton County 17-7.

The Wildcats scored 8 times in the second inning. AJ scored on a back to back wild pitches and on back to back sac flies from Ethan Ames and Luke Lasley to spark the big inning.
