MASSAC CO. (WSIL) -- 750, seems like just a number, but in southern Illinois, it's quite the feat.
It's the number of career wins for Massac County's Joe Hosman.
On Saturday, the Patriots knocked Anna-Jonesboro 59-49 to give coach the milestone win.
Coach Hosman has had some great players over the years, and guys on his current staff even played for him.
He's a mentor to the young men he comes in contact with, but there was a time when there were coaches who guided Coach Hosman so when he thinks of 750, he thinks of them.
"One of the things over the years that I've been very fortunate is I have had coaches like Bob Dallas, Dick Cohen, David Lee, just numerous coaches, Kurt Reed, that I have looked up to, and they really helped me out over the years, and hopefully I try to help out some younger coaches like these gentleman did to me," Hosman said.
"A guy I just love to death is Rich Herrin and he's helped me out and talked to me in different situations, so those older coaches have been a big part of me trying to help me develop my philosophy on how I coach."
