CHESTER â€� It’s been a history making season for the Chester boys basketball team.Ìý The Yellow Jackets have already set a school record for wins, including the first Chester Invitational Tournament title since 1976.
The Jackets wrapped up the first conference championship in school history by pummeling Sesser-Valier 79-48 to complete a clean sweep of the Black Diamond-West.Ìý The Red Devils could’ve grabbed a share of the conference championship with a win.Ìý Instead, Chester celebrated an outright finished 12-0 in conference play.ÌýÌý
Colin Wingerter led the Yellow Jackets with 20.Ìý Keith Kiner III added 19.
Chester improves to 25-5 and will host a 2A regional this week.
Sesser-Valier falls to 22-6.Ìý The Red Devils will host a 1A regional this week.
