...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/
FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Peak daily heat index values up to around 105 degrees.

* WHERE...All of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, western
Kentucky, and southeast Missouri.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT /8 PM EDT/ Friday.

* IMPACTS...Prolonged hot temperatures and high humidity may
cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out
of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose
fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early
morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat
exhaustion and heat stroke.

Local football player recognized for his community work by a Bears legend

CHICAGO (WSIL) -- A few weeks back we introduced you to Harrisburg football player Blake Eversmann.

The Chicago Bears recognized him as one of their community all-stars. Blake has been cleaning crosses for veterans and volunteers at his local VA.

The Harrisburg senior got to partake in a zoom with Chicago Bears legend Mike Singletary.
