MARION (WSIL) -- Marion's Jackson Connor is the Newest Banterra player of the week winner.
Connor took home the honor with 42 percent of the votes.
He was nominated for his efforts last weekend, 22 points on Friday, 29 on Saturday.
Both performances guided the Wildcats to wins.
Jackson Connor has been on fire since the turn of the new year.
The 3A All-State player has 1,803 career points.
Greg Starrick holds the record which stands at 1,975.
He's 172 points from the schools all-time scoring record.
It's within reach and it may not be far fetched to say he could reach the 2,000 career point mark.
Connor is excited about the support from his school for winning Banterra player of the week and succes doesn't go to this young mans head. He's team first.
"Feels good, we're about 0-10 in this and for a win my senior year it's pretty good so I want to keep winning and win as much as possible this year and things will take care of itself if it's supposed to but winning is my number one thing so," Connor said.
