CARBONDALE, Ill. -- If you don't know who Nick "Shug" Walker is, he could become your next favorite SIU player.

Walker is a playmaking Linebacker and is almost always around the Football.

The Murray State transfer is one of 22 new players for Coach Nick Hill's squad.

Walker finished this last season with 69 tackles and one sack. The Junior is back in his home state with this transfer. He has two years of college left to play for the Dawgs.

Nick Hill says Walker is a player who can jump right in.

"It's how he plays the game," said Hill. "We're really excited. It's just going to make us even better."

No doubt, we expect Walker to make an immediate impact for the Dawgs.
