MARION (WSIL)� The Southern Illinois Miners returned from a five-game road trip, opening a six-game home-stand with a win over River City.
The Miners scored six runs in the opening three innings, while the Rascals committed five crucial errors to allow the Miners to put it away early.
River City would add a pair of runs late, but the Miners hold on to win it 6-2.
