CARBONDALE (WSIL) -- Thursday morning, on Twitter, Southern Illinois University-Carbondale (SIU) senior safety Qua Brown announced he is going to stay at SIU and compete in the spring. The SIU athletic department confirmed Qua Brown is back with the team.
Brown had entered the transfer portal in August, but has now decided to return to SIU. Last year Brown led the Salukis and the Missouri Valley Football Conference (MVFC) in tackles with 105, good for fifth in the country. Brown also had 1.5 tackles for a loss and interception during the 2019 season.
