CARBONDALE (WSIL) � The Saluki women had the week off to prepare for Murray State this afternoon. The racers came into this game with a 5 game win streak looking for their sixth. However, SIU wasted no time today starting strong and never looking back. The Salukis did not trail once during the game, at one time they led by 18 points. Two Salukis were in double figures today, 6�1 senior Nicole Martin had a season high of 24 points and Mackenzie Silvey chipped in with 20.
Up next SIU will head up to DeKalb for the Compass Challenge. They will first play Western Illinois on Thursday at 4:30pm.
Missouri Valley Conference play will begin January 3rd for the Salukis. First game will be against Valparaiso University at 6pm.
