CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL) -- The Salukis came out strong on Saturday against Murray and kept the offense going throughout the four quarters, all while the defense kept the Racers out of the endzone.
Murray (1-11) couldn't get past the Salukis (4-8) all game. SIU on the other hand, started with 13 in the first quarter, added 28 in the second, another 14 in the third and 7 more in the final quarter to win 62-0.
Michael Lindauer went 20-33 for 283 yards and seven touchdowns.
The scoring started with two field goals making it 6-0. Add a touchdown in the first quarter and Salukis were up 13-0.
The Salukis then exploded in the second with four touchdowns, making it 41-0 at the half. Add another three touchdowns in the second half and SIU secured the shutout victory.
