SIU basketball defeats regional rival Murray State 72-68, Salukis complete season sweep of Racers
CARBONDALE, IL (WSIL) - The Saluki basketball team is now on its fifth winning streak of the season after defeating regional rival Murray State 72-68.
Southern led by 12 points at the break, but gave that lead back and even trailed the Racers for a bit in the second half.Â
The Salukis overcame the Racer's comeback attempt and earned the season sweep over their regional rivals by 4 points.
The Salukis have just three games left in the regular season before the start of the playoffs. Two of those three are on the road. The team's final home game will be on March 3 against Northern Iowa.
