SIU QB Nic Baker lands on Walter Payton Award Watch List
CARBONDALE, IL (WSIL) - SIU Quarterback Nic Baker is used to the pressure and for the rising junior its something he likes.
Baker played very well last year tossing a career-high 27 touchdowns and led the Dawgs to the postseason.
The q-b is now on the Walter Payton Award Watch List.
It is a sweet list to be on. Baker is one of 35FCS players who were named to the Walter Payton Award Watch List.
The Bears legend and Hall of Fame Running Back graduated from Jackson State.
The Salukis opened up fall practice less than a week ago and Baker has looked good so far.
Baker he does not feel any added pressure knowing he's in the running for a big time honor.
