Southern welcomed Missouri Valley Conference opponent, Indiana State to Carbondale on Sunday afternoon. Both the Salukis and Sycamores have just one win this season.聽

It was a beautiful day to honor eight Saluki seniors on Senior Day. Ashlyn Henrie, Mia Edwards, Riley Maulick, Kaitlin DuCharme, Emma Spotak, McKensey Bunch and McKinley Stiff were all recognized before the match.聽
As for the game, both teams had chances early on, DuCharme's free kick looked like it had a chance, but Sycamore keeper, Maddie Alexander climbed the ladder and made a great save. Still a 0-0 match.聽
A few minutes later, Indiana State with a chance, but Alexa Mackey's shot hit the side of the goal.聽
Despite both sides having numerous chances, this match ended up in a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes. The Salukis are back at the Lew Hartzog Track and Field complex for their final home match of the season on Thursday. They welcome Valparaiso to Carbondale. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.聽
