THRILLBILLIES BACKDROP - 1

MARION, IL (WSIL) - The Thrillbillies have a second season.

The Marion boys of summer are promised at least one more game.

Thursday night, Thrillville crushed Cape 13-6 as the 'Billies won the South Division Championship in Marion. Saturday night, they will play the Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp for the West conference title.

Ralph Santana's squad was fired up to start the playoffs.

The 'Billies roared to open this game. They put up 13 runs in a blowout win over the Cape Catfish last night. Thrillville dodged elimination with that 13-6 victory.

We now will have to see if the team can keep up its winning ways.

They go on the road Saturday night to face the Illinois Valley Pistol Shrmip.

Here's why that could be an issue. Thrillville is just 1-4 overall against Illinois Valley. A win on Saturday will hand the Billies the Western Conference Championship. If they do win that game, the league championship comes to Marion in a best of 3 series.
