12 Tornadoes Touched Down Over Weekend Across Region, 2 Deaths and 22 Injuries Reported

PADUCAH, Ky. -- A total of twelve tornadoes touched down on Sunday, May 26, as two storm systems swept through the area. This number may climb as the National Weather Service conducts more surveys.

The National Weather Service in Paducah sent teams out this week to survey areas where damage occurred. The survey teams studied the damage and came up with conclusions of what type of weather event occurred there.

They determined an estimated wind speed, path length, maximum width and more.

The National Weather Service in Paducah covers a 58-county area which includes four states.

Tornado #1 - Lake of Egypt, Illinois (Johnson County)
