Clouds stick around for the weekend, temps top out in the 60s

CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) -- A cooler weekend is on tap, however, it won't be bad for some yardwork.

As we are waking up, we will have overcast skies and temps top out in the mid 60s by the afternoon. It will be a cool start with many of us in the lower 50s. Winds will be up to around 7-10 mph and you could see the sun at through the entire day.

Tonight, winds will calm a little and we will dip back into the 50s after the sunsets.

On Sunday, more clouds are in store. We should some mostly cloudy conditions with a small chance of a shower here and there. The temperatures should be in the mid to high 60s and it should feel pretty comfortable outside for some yardwork. 

Starting on Monday we will see mid to upper 80s as highs with Tuesday seeing some potential thunderstorms.
