Carterville, IL (WSIL) -- Today those clouds remained especially for our eastern part of the viewing area where you are closer to the low. SEMO is seeing a lot more breaks in the clouds. Expect temperatures to remain in the mid and upper 70s through the evening. Clouds should be breaking up more and more as the day goes on. Cant rule out an isolated shower but most should stay dry today.Â

As temperatures cool off into the mid to low 60s overnight tonight we could see patchy areas of fog develop across the area. Best places to see some of this fog would be in and around bodies of water. Make sure to take it slow if you encounter some of this fog on your morning commute on Tuesday. A dry cold front makes its way into the region Tuesday which will bring in a significant drop in dewpoints. This will set up a very fall like few days starting on Wednesday.Â
