CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) -- Still seeing a few of those isolated showers across the region with overcast skies. Most of us staying dry but the overcast skies having a hard time leaving. High temperatures still warm for this time of year in the mid 50s. A windy start to the day will calm down by the evening time.

December 29th afternoon forecast with Meteorologist Nick Boynton

Progressing through the evening our temperatures will cool into the low 50s and eventually we will wake up tomorrow in the mid 40s. Tomorrow will be a dry day for everyone and hopefully we will see some peaks of sunshine across the area. This will be short lived as more clouds move in ahead of our next system that will bring showers to the region Tuesday.
