CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) -- After an active day, the rainfall is beginning to wrap up. Dry conditions will return through the overnight, and through the first half of the day Friday. However, the rain isn't gone for long.

Our next chance for showers will work it's way back in Friday afternoon and evening. Isolated light showers/drizzle is possible. More widespread rain and even a few rumbles of thunder are likely Saturday. Saturday will be the wettest day of the weekend.
Friday will be chilly, high temperatures will only rise into the low 40s. Warmer conditions return Saturday, with temperatures climbing back into the upper 50s. Enjoy it, because winter is going to make a return next week.
We're tracking multiple chances for winter weather early next week. It's still too far out to say who gets what, but impacts are looking more likely.
