CARTERVILLE Ill. (WSIL) -- Friday will bring a few changes to the region. Our next cold front will move in, bringing a chance for isolated light showers and eventually a cool down. However, ahead of that front, it will be very warm. High temperatures will top out near 80 degrees.
The overall rain chance remains low, most will remain dry. Even locations that see a stray shower or two, amounts will be under a tenth of an inch, if that.Â
Much cooler air settle in by the weekend. High temperatures will dip back into the 60s. This is near average for this time of year. The cool down will be short lived, warmer air returns next week.Â
