WSIL -- Brr! Grab all the cold gear this morning as temperatures have fallen back into the teens in many locations of southern Illinois as skies have cleared overnight. In southeast Missouri and western Kentucky, clouds have continued to linger around, thus keeping temperatures in the mid to upper 20s.

WATCH for black ice on parking lots and rural roads!

Mostly sunny skies this afternoon will help melt away some of the snow, but temperatures will likely range from the lower 30s in southern Illinois to the mid 30s in western Kentucky and the Missouri Bootheel.

Warmer weather is expected Friday, but meteorologist Nick Hausen is tracking a chance for more heavy rain that could impact some of your weekend plans. Join Evie, Brooke, Dave, and Nick on News 3 This Morning!
