43 new COVID-19 cases in Johnson County

(WSIL) -- Southern Seven Health Department reported 60 new cases of COVID-19 in its region Friday. More than two-thirds were in Johnson County.

The county had 43 new cases for the day, bringing its current total to 209.

Saline County had the second largest number of new cases in southern Illinois with 20.

On Friday, IDPH announced 2,514 new confirmed cases of coronavirus COVID-19 in the state, including 25 additional confirmed deaths.

Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 283,885 cases of COVID-19, including 8,563 deaths, in Illinois.

ALEXANDER COUNTY

  • Female: One in her 60s and one in her 70s

Alexander County has had 75 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including one death. Southern Seven Health Department says 28 cases are currently active.

FRANKLIN COUNTY

  • Female: One teen, one in her 30s, one in her 50s and one in her 70s
  • Male: One in his 30s, three in their 50s and one in his 70s

To date, there have been 529 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Franklin County, including three deaths. Health officials say 306 of the positive cases have recovered.

GALLATIN COUNTY

  • One male in his 40s

Egyptian Health Department says the individual is at home in isolation. There have been 75 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including two death, in Gallatin County.

HARDIN COUNTY

  • One female in her 20s

Hardin County has had 37 confirmed cases of COVID-19. Seven cases are currently active, according to Southern Seven Health Department.

JACKSON COUNTY

  • Female: One teen and three in their 20s
  • Male: Two teens, one in his 20s and one in his 30s

To date, there have been 1,264 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Jackson County, including 24 related deaths. Fifty-seven active cases are currently being managed.

JEFFERSON COUNTY

  • Female: One under the age of 12, one in her 40s and two in their 70s
  • Male: Two in their 40s and one in his 80s

Jefferson County has had 612 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 32 deaths. The health department says 46 active cases are currently in isolation.

JOHNSON COUNTY

  • Female: One under the age of 5, one in her 20s, two in their 30s and one in her 50s
  • Male: Six in their 20s, 19 in their 30s, five in their 40s, four in their 50s, three in their 60s and one in his 70s

Southern Seven Health Department reported 43 new cases of COVID-19 in Johnson County Friday.

There have been 209 confirmed cases in the county. The health department says 94 cases are currently active.

MASSAC COUNTY

  • Male: One in his 60s and one in his 70s

Massac County has had 105 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including two deaths. Thirty-eight of the cases are currently active, according to Southern Seven Health Department.

PULASKI COUNTY

  • Female: One in 10s, one in her 30s, two in their 50s and one in her 70s
  • Male: One in his 30s and one in his 70s

Pulaski County has had 172 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including one death. Southern Seven Health Department says 35 cases are currently active.

RANDOLPH COUNTY

  • 4 new cases for Friday, Sept. 25

There have been 945 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 11 deaths, in Randolph County. Health officials say one person is currently hospitalized, while 45 others are recovering at home.

SALINE COUNTY

  • Female: Three in their 20s, two in their 30s, one in her 40s, two in their 50s, two in their 60s, two in their 70s and two in their 80s
  • Male: One in his 20s, three in their 40s, one in his 60s and one in his 70s

Egyptian Health Department reported 20 new cases of COVID-19 in Saline County Friday.

There have been 335 confirmed cases, including four deaths, in the county.

UNION COUNTY

  • Female: Two in their 20s, one in her 30s and one in her 60s
  • Male: One under the age of 10

Union County has had 496 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 20 deaths. Southern Seven Health Department says 85 cases are currently active.

WHITE COUNTY

  • Female: One in her 20s, one in her 50s and one in her 60s

Egyptian Health Department says there have been 169 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in White County, including one death.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY

  • Female: One in her 30s, one in her 50s and three in their 60s
  • Male: Two in their 20s, one in his 30s, one in his 40s and one in his 50s

In addition to ten new cases of COVID-19, Bi-County Health Department also announced one additional death.

The health department says a woman in her 80s from a Williamson County long-term care facility passed away.

To date, there have been 1,399 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 47 deaths, in the county.

Bi-County says 751 of the positive cases have recovered.
