(WSIL) -- If the pandemic has isolated you from family and friends for the holidays, there are ways to feel less alone or depressed.
Centerstone Clinical Coordinator, Shalynn Malone says this is a time to get creative and celebrate online with loved ones.
She says eating or opening presents can still be fun with a virtual hangout.
"Do you normally bake cookies with your family? Is there a way you can do that virtually and both be doing this together, but also apart? And maybe there are people that normally couldn't be a part of it and since we're doing it on a virtual platform could we do that?"
Malone says if that is not an option, use the day to do something you normally don't get to do.
Health experts also suggest volunteering, treating yourself or contacting a counselor can help with depression.
