MT. VERNON (WSIL) -- The Jefferson County Health Department confirms an additional case of COVID-19 along with more deaths from the virus.
In a release Saturday morning, the department confirmed three more deaths attributed to COVID-19 related to an outbreak at a long term care facility. Their ages and their genders were not released.
In addition, the department recorded a single case of COVID-19, a female in her 50s, who is now in isolation at her home. To date that have been 88 lab-confirmed cases of the virus, including 14 deaths.
The department adds that they've received 562 total negative test results and 47 positive cases have been released from isolation.
