CARBONDALE (WSIL) -- A popular Carbondale restaurant is back open for business.
Mary Lou's Grill reopened Tuesday morning just in time for the breakfast crowd.
The restaurant e saying the logistics surrounding reopening with the restrictions that were in place, were not worth it.
"We did curbside during that PPP period and honestly we didn't bring in enough to be open. So that's why we decided to shut back down for all of the month of July. We've got to do something to survive as a business we had to try this," said owner Marilynn Martin.
And customers were excited the restaurant was back in business.
"Best biscuits and gravy in the country! Bottom line. I've been all over the country and this is home and this is what I like," said customer Michael Kasky.
The restaurant reminds folks until you are seated at a table inside the business.
