America honors its nation's soldiers

Suicide rate among active duty service members increased by 41% between 2015 and 2020

The suicide rate among active duty service members increased by 9.1% in 2020, according to data from the report, which was released Thursday. From 2018 to 2020, it rose 15.3%.

CARTERVILLE, Ill. -- Saturday is marked as Armed Forces Day across the U.S. 

The day serves as a moment to honor those serving the nation's soldiers and remember those who have fallen in the line of service. 

A number of regional sheriff's offices have spent the week honoring its former deputies on Facebook. Graves County, KY Sheriff's Office, Mayfield Police, and Carterville, IL are but three of the towns who have acknowledged the week. 

Thank you to all who have served our country both now and in the past.
