(WSIL) -- A Benton man died after a crash in Franklin County Friday.
On June 4, around 8:15 p.m. the Franklin County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash on the Rend Lake Dam.
Preliminary investigation shows a Jeep was traveling east and slowed down. A motorcycle didn't see the slowed vehicle and struck the back of the Jeep. The motorcycle driver was ejected from the bike.
The driver, Chad Robertson, 44 of Benton, died from his injuries at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
The ongoing investigation is being handled by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
