ALTO PASS, ILLINOIS (WSIL) -- Thousands of bikers will make their way to Bald Knob Cross of Peace for the annual Blessing of the Bikes.
The event features prayers for safety on the road, vendors, drinks and snacks.
The Blessing of the Bikes is a longstanding tradition in southern Illinois, taking place for 29 years.
The event is sponsored by the Lord's Paheece chapter of the Christian Motorcycle Association. It will take place on Sunday, May 23rd from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. including a brief service at noon.
