CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (WSIL) -- The Cape Girardeau Public Library is showcasing Black writers and illustrators to celebrate Black History Month.

The public is invited to join a month's worth of events including book talks for adults, which will take place twice a week on Facebook.

Readers can also join the library's online book club and participate in this month's theme.

And Youth Services will have a book display designated for Black authors.

"Continuing our programs in whatever way we can has been our way of holding on to that little bit of normal and holding on to the community and keeping us all together," said adult programming coordinator Cathy Lopez.
