Carterville Dairy Queen is anticipated to reopen later this year, mayor says

CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) -- Dairy Queen in Carterville is anticipated to open their doors again sometime this year.

The City of Carterville Mayor Bradley Robinson tells News 3 the new owner of the Carterville Dairy Queen also has other Dairy Queen franchises in four other locations in Illinois.

Robinson said remodel work has already started for the Carterville location. He also said the owner, architect, city building inspector and general contractor also have already met to review and discuss construction for the project.

While there is not a date for the completion just yet, the mayor did say they anticipate to reopen this calendar year.
