PADUCAH, Ky. (WSIL) -- Paducah Police arrested Maurice Baucom, 20, of West Paducah on June 12, 2025, following an investigation into possession of child pornography.
Detectives began investigating Baucom in August 2024 after they said they received a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Police said they discovered a Google account owned by Baucom containing explicit content involving minors.
Detectives then reported searching Baucom’s home, his vehicle and his phone.
The Paducah Police Department stated Baucom confessed to possessing child pornography and acknowledged an online relationship with a 13-year-old girl. Police said he also admitted to saving explicit content of the minor on his phone.
Authorities charged Baucom with 147 counts of promoting a sexual performance by a minor, one count of use of a minor in a sexual performance, and one count of possession or viewing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
Baucom was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail on a $50,000 cash bond.
